Heriot-Watt University is inviting you to an online PIM about Multimodality in EAP contexts. We will be exploring different strands: the impact of digital texts on academic and professional communication and preparing students for this, the roles of multimodal artefacts in EAP (e.g. posters, presentations and videos by students), multimodal pedagogy. The PIM will be an opportunity to share innovative practice and map out how EAP practitioners can respond to the increasing emphasis on the multimodal in higher education and beyond.
Join us and plenary speaker Professor Arlene Archer, director of the Writing Centre at the University of Cape Town and convenor of the South African Multimodality in Education research group.
More details about the event, including a call for proposals and registration, will be published soon.
