New BALEAP Events confirmed

6 February 2018

BALEAP members are busy planning events for 2018. Currently, the following are confirmed:

24th March (Reading):

A day with two different events and the AGM in the middle of the day. Choose between a TEAP workshop and a ResTES. Register here for either of the events or simply the AGM (free lunch included).

12th May (Goldsmiths, London):

The annual BAS event, a training event related to the BALEAP Accrediation Scheme for EAP provision. This year, we will share “best practice” that has stood out for assessors over the last few years. Register here for this free event.

30th May (Glasgow):

The popular BALEAP Testing Roadshow continues in 2018. The Testing Officer John Slaght will lead a workshop on item writing. Find more information and register here.

9th June (Newcastle):

The topic of the next BALEAP PIM is Speaking. The Call for Papers is out now and closes on 15th April. Please see here for more information and to register; we look forward to receiving your abstracts.

23rd June (Coventry):

Another stop for the Testing Roadshow. Further venues and dates will be confirmed, but if Coventry is convenient for you, register here.

24th November (Essex):

Hot off the press, the November PIM is planned in conjunction with ALDinHE (Association for Learning Development in Higher Education) and will consider the relationship between Academic Literacies and EAP. For the moment, please save the date, and later check back here for the event page.

Please check the website regularly, as more events will be confirmed. We are also planning to continue the Webinar series; check here for recordings of previous webinars.
