A new BALEAP publication is being created to examine the impact of COVID-19 on the UK EAP sector. The research will examine how UK EAP organisations were affected by COVID-19 in terms of academic delivery and operational procedures. The work will be shared with the membership and is intended to provide a data-led picture of how different programmes and organisations responded to the challenges of COVID-19 from March until the end of the 19/20 academic year. A call was sent out for freelancers to undertake this work with BALEAP executive oversight and many strong proposals were received. The work will be undertaken by the winning proposers Emma Bruce and Heléna Stakounis both of whom have undertaken various roles across the UK EAP sector such as teaching, testing and management/consultancy roles. It is anticipated that the publication will be launched in March 2021.
