The School has a successful English for Academic Purposes (EAP) programme providing Presessional and Academic language and communication skills courses for students going on to UG and PG programmes at Nottingham and elsewhere.
This role supports this programme by providing teaching, course leadership, curriculum development and quality assurance. The role also contributes to other programmes offered by the School (e.g. commercial courses, UG and PG programmes). The Centre is expanding further into online teaching and learning and aims to strengthen its online EAP provision.
Applicants should have experience in teaching English as a Foreign/Second Language and/or English for Academic Purposes to adults of different nationalities and different levels of proficiency and/or experience in teaching academic skills within the HE and/or FE sector. Applicants should also have demonstrable digital skills, in particular a proven ability to develop interactive EAP learning materials across a variety of platforms and extensive and in-depth knowledge of Teams.
This is a permanent, full-time post of 36.25 hours per week. Arrangements for job share may be considered. The role is available from May 2022.
£31406 to £40927 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.
