Job Details

As a Teaching Fellow (English for Medical Purposes) within the Centre for Open Learning, you will be involved in teaching on a range of English for Academic Purposes (EAP) courses as well as coordination and operational management of specified courses with a particular focus on English for Medicine. The successful applicant will have substantial experience in teaching EAP in Higher Education contexts and a postgraduate qualification in language teaching or applied linguistics as well as a practical teaching qualification.

Job Salary & Benefits

This is a Grade UeO7 post, salary range £32,548-£38,833. Automatic membership of the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS)

English Language Education, part of the Centre for Open Learning at the University of Edinburgh, is a dynamic unit that works with students and staff across the university. The post holder will be expected to contribute to and take part in internal and external CPD events and seek opportunities for personal development in the area and seek out possibilities for future qualifications. The post holder will be required to maintain and promote ELE’s reputation within professional circles for its innovative developments in tertiary sector EAP.
