I-Shou University (ISU) in Taiwan and Nottingham Trent University (NTU) in the UK are currently seeking a highly motivated and suitably qualified teacher to deliver an Academic English for Business Studies course in Taiwan.
This course is an integral part of a new partnership between ISU and NTU which will provide students with a unique opportunity to study International Business Administration and English in Taiwan for three years and then progress to the final year of the BA International Business Management course at NTU.
The post will be located at the main ISU campus in Kaohsiung in Taiwan and the contract of employment will be held with I-Shou University. The key duty for the appointee will be preparing and delivering high quality teaching to students on the Academic English for Business Studies course, as well as to ISU students on other courses. Other duties will include assessment of students, marking and providing feedback on students’ work and participation in regular Skype meetings with the academic lead for the Academic English for Business Studies course in NTU. The appointee will also be expected to spend the first two weeks of the contract period in Nottingham for a pre-course induction.
Applicants should have the Cambridge ESOL DELTA or an equivalent EFL teaching qualification, plus a first degree. Applicants should also have substantial teaching experience, with some experience of teaching EAP and of teaching English overseas. You will be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to teach a language effectively using a variety of methods. An MA in TESOL or related subject would be an advantage.
PLEASE NOTE: The contract of employment will be held with I-Shou University and the appointment and conditions will be governed by the employment laws of Taiwan and the policies and practices of I-Shou University.
NT$ 92,126.00 per month before tax
