The post-holder will be based in China for two semesters per year and will work closely with:
North China University of Technology (NCUT), Beijing, People’s Republic of China
Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications (CQUPT), Chongqing, People’s Republic of China Brunel Language Centre, Brunel University London
College of Engineering, Design and Physical Sciences, Brunel University London.
The successful applicant will manage a growing team of EAP tutors and have overall strategic and operational responsibility for the suite of English programmes for NCUT and CQUPT. A team player with experience in a busy working environment, you will be a self-starter with excellent decision-making skills. You will have empathy with differing cultures and a willingness to develop and improve the student experience of undergraduate students who need to raise their level of English within the context of their degree subject.
A proactive approach to work is essential, and the successful applicant should have a strong desire to find solutions. A flexible attitude, excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and literacy skills, a willingness to help out and learn (and use) new systems will be essential. Previous experience/knowledge of Transnational Higher Education is desirable. Applicants will hold a PhD in the relevant area.

You will be working for approximately 24 weeks a year in China and will need to have the required vaccinations. On occasion, you may be working with under 18s and the successful applicant will be DBS checked.
Salary (H5 Grade): £54,131 to £59,135 per annum plus Cost of Living Allowance
