Due to an increase in student numbers, applications are invited for experienced and qualified (TEFLQ) EAP tutors to teach 20 hours per week on the 9 week Presessional course and 24 hours per week on the Exam Preparation Intensive Course at a specialist art and design university
9-week course: 23 June – 30 August 2017 (dates are inclusive of induction)
Exam Preparation Intensive Course 10 July – 15 September
The main duties will include the teaching of English for Academic Purposes at a range of levels using the in-house teaching materials in an engaging and communicative manner. Applicants should be able to manage the administrative workload including, but not only, completing registers, records of work, tutorial records and writing final reports. Tutors will be involved in essay marking, marking presentations and administering reading and listening exams.
Tutors are expected to attend weekly staff meetings, standardisation sessions and Teacher Development sessions.
Applications are particularly welcomed from EAP tutors with art and design backgrounds
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
DELTA or equivalent
EAP experience
Ability to manage the workload of intensive EAP courses
£40.58 (inclusive of holiday pay) per teaching hour
