Applications are invited for experienced and qualified (TEFLQ) EAP tutors to teach on the following courses at a specialist art and design university;
Presessional 13 week course: 1 June – 28 August 2020 (induction 29 – 30 May)
Presessional 9 week course: 29 June – 28 August 2020 (induction 24 – 26 June)
Pre-Foundation 7 week course: 29 June – 14 August 2020 (induction 25 – 26 June)
Exam Preparation Intensive Course (EPIC) 10 week course: 6 July – 11 September 2020 (induction tbc)
Exam Preparation Intensive Course (EPIC) 6 week course : 3 August – 11 September 2020 (induction tbc)
The main duties will include the teaching of English for Academic Purposes in an engaging and communicative manner to students who are at a range of levels. This will involve using bespoke, in-house materials. Applicants should be able to manage the administrative workload including, but not only, completing registers, records of work, feedback forms and tutorial records. It is expected that you will be able to work collaboratively. Tutors will be involved in administering and marking the final exams. Standardisation training will be provided.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
TEFLQ (DELTA or equivalent)
EAP experience
Ability to manage the workload of intensive EAP courses
£50.52 per teaching hour
Paid induction
Teacher Development sessions
A DBS check, paid for by University of the Arts, London will be required upon appointment.
