The School of English and Languages is seeking temporary, associate tutors to deliver our 2017 Pre-sessional courses during the following periods:
20th June – 8th September (12 weeks)
17th July – 8th September (8 weeks)
7th August – 8th September (5 weeks)
In addition, we are seeking applicants to deliver English for Academic and Medical Purposes to a group of visiting Chinese medical students:
24th July – 11th August (3 weeks)
It may be possible to combine this role with a further 4 weeks on one of the Pre-sessional programmes.
Applicants for all roles should hold a degree, a TEFL/TESOL qualification (preferably a Diploma) and have experience of teaching English language, ideally in a higher education context. A Master’s degree is desirable, preferably in Applied Linguistics, TESOL or related area. Applicants should be confident users of IT.
Online pre-induction materials plus a paid induction of 1-2 days immediately before the course will be provided. Relevant staff development training will be provided during the programme as required.
£739.80 per week + 12.07% holiday pay (£829.09). We ask that applicants do not have pre-existing holiday requirements as these cannot be facilitated. Staff are required to be on the premises 9.00 – 17.00 Monday – Friday. Campus accommodation is bookable for staff at discounted rates.
