The University of Portsmouth are recruiting a number of experienced, temporary EAP tutors to work on our pre-sessional courses in 2017.
You should have either:
– A higher-level TEFL/TESOL qualification such as the Cambridge/Trinity Diploma or an MA in TESOL/Applied Linguistics
Or
– A Certificate in TEFL/TESO L or PGCE together with substantial experience of teaching English for Academic Purposes.
Experience of working with university students from East Asia, particularly China, would be beneficial, as would experience of working in the HE sector.
You will be required to attend a five day Induction Course, which is included in the programme dates, immediately prior to the commencement of the Programme.
The Programme dates are as follows:
Programme 1 (9 weeks + staff Induction wk): 3 July 2017 to 8 September 2017
Programme 2 (7 weeks + staff Induction wk): 17 July 2017 to 8 September 2017
Programme 3 (4 weeks + staff Induction wk): 7 August 2017 to 8 September 2017

Salary: £33,943 – £37,075 per annum
