Applications are invited from experienced and qualified ELT/EAP teachers to join the EAS unit at the University of Glasgow to teach on its BALEAP-accredited summer pre-sessional programme.
We are looking for people keen to be part of a team delivering high-quality EAP teaching within a well-established pre-sessional programme. You will be employed on a full-time basis, normally teaching 16 to 20 contact hours per week within a supportive working environment at one of the world’s leading universities and in a vibrant and cosmopolitan city.
As well as teaching, you will attend team meetings, provide students with oral and written feedback and prepare final assessments and written reports. The more senior role will involve mentoring other teachers and/or to take on lecturing or other responsibilities for the effective operation and running of classes. These additional responsibilities are reflected in the salary offered.
The course is divided into three five-week blocks:
Block A: Tuesday 8 May to Friday 8 June with teacher induction on 4 May
Block B: Monday 18 June to Friday 20 July with teacher induction on the 14 and 15 June
Block C: Monday 23 July to Friday 24 August with teacher induction on the 19 and 20 July
Contracts are available for the whole 15 week period (Blocks A, B and C), or for the 10 week period from 18 June (Blocks B and C) or for the five week period from 23 July (Block C). Successful applicants will be engaged from the date of induction and must be available to work from this date.

£28,098 – £38,833 depending on experience
