This is an exciting opportunity to join our successful, forward-thinking and innovative department as a senior member of the management team. You will have particular responsibility for our distinctive range of rapidly growing Pre-sessionals, including the ELTons Innovation Award-nominated Combined (online + face-to-face) Pre-sessionals that utilise the latest online and digital learning platforms. As you will be based in the iconic, state-of-the-art Bush House campus, your working environment will be second to none. You will work alongside friendly, experienced and skilled staff and teach sessions to highly motivated students who are keen to develop their English language and academic skills with you.

Under the direction of the Head of Pre-sessional & Short Courses, the successful applicant will work with the Pre-sessional & Short Courses management team to design and deliver our range of Pre-sessional programmes and associated embedded/in-sessional support, as well as bespoke short courses for our partner institutions.
You will also contribute towards the development of discipline-specific Pre-sessional pathways for the following King’s Faculties: Arts & Humanities; Law; Social Science & Public Policy; and Natural & Mathematical Sciences. You will be expected to liaise with academic and professional services stakeholders in one or more of these Faculties.

There are currently two Pre-sessional & Short Courses roles being advertised by King’s Foundations. The Pre-sessional & Short Courses [Digital Education Lead] should be able to evidence demonstrable expertise in designing and delivering digital education in a university context, ideally on a Pre-sessional programme.

This is a full-time post.

Job Salary & Benefits

Grade 7, £46,292 to £54,534 per annum, inclusive of £3,500 per annum London Allowance.
