The Centre for Languages & International Education are looking to appoint a Pre-Sessional Senior Coordinator (Academic).
Reporting to the Head of Pre-sessional, the post holder will be responsible for ensuring and enhancing the quality of the Pre-sessional course materials. The post holder also supports the preparation, administration and delivery of the UCL CLIE Pre-sessional programmes, with a particular focus on the course materials.
The post holder will work as part of the Senior Pre-sessional team, under the overall direction of the Head of Pre-sessional, ensuring that the course provides the best possible academic and study skills and English language preparation for prospective UCL students.
The ideal candidate will hold a postgraduate degree in Applied Linguistics or similar, as well as a Level 7 teaching qualification, such as a Delta or similar. They will have a strong teaching background, including substantial knowledge of the principles underlying materials and assessment design in EAP. Preferably, they will have prior experience of managing a team engaged on a large project, or demonstrate an understanding of the skills involved, as well as relevant transferable skills. They will also have an ability to produce excellent written materials, as well as provide sensitive feedback on others’ work. They will be detail-oriented, adaptable, flexible and possess an ability to prioritise a busy workload. Lastly, they will have strong IT skills, with experience of using Microsoft Office packages in a professional setting to a high standard.

The salary is UCL Grade 8 (£50,085-£58,895 per annum, including London Allowance).
