Middlesex University has established a collaboration with Minzu University of China to deliver joint degree programmes in Arts disciplines in Hainan, China. The role holder will be responsible for leading General English and/or pre-sessional Academic English teaching with students at the Hainan campus. Contact hours will be to a maximum of 21 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with remaining time given over to preparation, marking, tutorials and meetings. The role holder will work in a small team of teachers on site, reporting remotely to the Director International Preparatory Programmes in London.
The position is available immediately and the successful applicant will be expected to start as soon as possible.
The interview date for this round is 26th October with an anticipated start date of the 6th November.
The final day of teaching under this appointment will be 19th January 2024.
Future appointments will also be required, and so CVs from teachers interested in assignments from February 2024 are also welcome.
Salary will be in the range £39,347 – £45,585 per annum pro rata. Return flights, on-campus accommodation, insurance and airport pick-up and transfer are all included in the package. Visa support will also be provided.
