Coventry University’s Languages and EAP team is looking to recruit experienced and committed tutors to deliver EAP classes on our summer Pre-sessional English courses. These courses prepare students for entry to their degree programme through the development of academic language and skills.
We are seeking tutors for our summer 15, 10 and 5 week courses. We are planning for in-person delivery, but some courses may also be delivered online and so we are looking for tutors to work both remotely and on-campus. All tutors should be familiar with using a VLE such as Moodle/Aula, and with using Microsoft Teams for teaching.
A full induction, course syllabus and materials will be provided, and you will work under the guidance of a Course Leader. There will also be opportunities for CPD during the course. All our face-to-face Pre-sessional English courses have been accredited by BALEAP.
Course dates
We are recruiting EAP tutors for the courses listed below. The dates include an induction period and administrative days for report writing at the end of the course which are paid and require full attendance. A pro rata holiday entitlement is paid at the end of the course.
Summer 15 week: Tuesday 3rd May – Friday 2nd September
Summer 10 week: Tuesday 14th June – Friday 2nd September
Summer 5 week: Tuesday 19th July – Friday 2nd September
Please note applicants must be available for the entire duration of the course, and be resident in the UK for the full contract period.
Remuneration will be at £29,603-£36,368 (pro rata) depending on qualifications and experience.
Subsidised accommodation may be available for tutors not living locally.
There may also be the opportunity for to teach on our autumn pre-sessional courses for tutors who have taught with us in the summer.
