Full Time Post: 36.25 per week

We are the University for the Creative Arts, one of the largest specialist creative arts universities in Europe. Our International Pathway Programmes are seeking to appoint an experienced EAP tutor to join our international pre-sessional course team from 14th June to 30th August 2017. You will have CELTA/DELTA or equivalent qualification and experience of recent full-time EFL teaching as well as you will be interested in creative arts.
An experienced EAP Tutor (TEFL Diploma or MA TEFL/Applied Linguistics) is required for the summer Pre-sessional English for Art and Design course, to teach EAP to a cohort of creative arts students up to 24 contact hours per week. Employment period includes 3 days of paid materials development prior to the course start and a 2-day ‘wrap-up’ after the end of the course.
The successful applicant will have the ability to teach EAP to a range of FE, UG and PG students with varying English levels (from IELTS 4.5-7.0), of different nationalities, particularly from Asia and Middle East. You will have relevant EAP experience of preparing students for UK higher education and the experience of pastoral and student support skills. You will be able to work within a team and will be reliable, flexible, responsible, organised and have excellent interpersonal skills.
Teaching EAP to creative arts students as well as management related degrees would be an advantage. Please indicate any relevant experience you may have in this.
