Job Details

We are currently looking for someone to teach on our credit-bearing presessional EAP (PEAP) course throughout the academic year. You will also play a role in the PEAP management team, particularly in the area of teacher development for the summer PEAP. You will work alongside the PEAP Course Leader and other members of the PEAP management team and have specific responsibilities for all aspects of teacher recruitment and development, including recruitment of summer PEAP teachers, planning and delivering teacher induction events and staff development sessions, and teacher observation. Working collaboratively with the PEAP management team and with the PEAP teaching team, you will also ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the summer PEAP.

The key responsibilities of the role will include teaching key components of the UK-based PEAP course, participating in the scholarly, academic and professional development activities required to ensure high quality teaching is carried out appropriately, contributing to the intellectual and pedagogical development of the academic team, taking personal responsibility for keeping knowledge and skills up to date and to carry out duties including administrative and pastoral as and when required.

With an MA in TESOL (or equivalent) and a recognised TEFL teaching qualification, you will have a range of experience in teaching and materials development across different EFL / TESOL programmes, including English for Academic Purposes.

Job Salary & Benefits

Grade H/I (£33,199 – £48,677 p.a.)
