The two universities are collaborating to offer a Chinese Ministry of Education approved dual degree programme with students studying towards a BA (Hons) International Governance and Public Policy from Keele University and a BA in Diplomacy from BFSU. Students spend two years in Beijing, then a year at Keele before returning for a final year in Beijing.

The programme is launching with a cohort of 80 students in September 2018. The first year of the programme is focussed primarily on developing students’ language and study skills to a high level and consists of the following level 3 modules:

• General English (30 credits)
• Academic English Proficiency (30 credits)
• Study Skills (15 credits)
• Global Political Sociology (15 credits)
• Seminar Skills Development (15 credits)
• Business and Management (15 credits)

The programme wishes to appoint an International Foundation Programme Director to lead this first year of the programme, managing a team of four staff and contributing to the teaching of one or two of the above modules. You will have a proven track record of developing language skills to a high standard. A passing mark at the end of the programme includes an English language level equivalent to IELTS 6.0 in all sub-tests but we aim for the majority of students to exceed this minimum standard.
