Applications are invited for experienced and qualified (TEFLQ) EAP tutors to teach on the following course at a specialist art and design university
Pre-Foundation (1st July-16th August)
The main duties will include the teaching of English for Academic Purposes to students studying for an internal progress test in an engaging and communicative manner. Students are aiming for 5.0 (IELTS equivalent 5.0) in the test to go onto a Pre-Foundation course at the university and come onto the course 0.5 below requirement. Applicants should be able to manage the administrative workload including, but not only, completing registers, records of work and tutorial records. Tutors will be involved in administering the final exams.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
DELTA or equivalent
Experience teaching teenagers
Exam preparation experience (FCE/CAE)
EAP experience
Ability to manage the workload of intensive EAP courses
Teaching rate: £50.52 (£41.61 + £8.91 holiday pay)
Non-teaching rate: £33.83 (£27.87 + £5.96 holiday pay)
