CU Group deliver International Pathway programmes on behalf of Coventry University and are seeking experienced English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Tutors to teach on single or multiple blocks on these programmes from January 2023 at our London campus at North Greenwich and at our Coventry campus.

Our International Pathway programmes prepare international students for university entry, and include the International Foundation Year, International Year One, and International Pre-Masters programmes. Successful completion of these programmes allows students to join their destination degree programme at undergraduate or postgraduate level in Coventry, London or in another of the group’s locations. These programmes run alongside our already established BALEAP accredited Pre-sessional English programme. The International Pathway programmes are delivered face-to-face on CU Group campuses and in other locations where required.
The Role
The EAP Tutor roles support excellent delivery of the International Pathway programmes. The EAP tutors will contribute to teaching, learning and assessment on these programmes, and to the academic administration of any courses or blocks they teach on or in relation to exam marking or student support activities. A full induction, course syllabus and essential materials are provided, and you will work under the guidance of a Course Leader. There will also be opportunities for CPD during the course. We are recruiting tutors for 8 month contracts from January to August 2024, with the potential for renewal at the end of the term.
Qualifications Required
A first degree, plus a recognised TEFL qualification (e.g. CELTA, CertTrinity TESOL) as a minimum.
Experience of teaching on EAP courses such as Foundation, pre-sessional or in-sessional programmes, preferably in a UK university context, is essential.
Our Successful Candidate
You will have experience of teaching English for Academic Purposes on Foundation programmes, Pre-sessional programmes, in-sessional programmes or a combination of these. You will be able to demonstrate good practice in teaching, learning and assessment through the use of a wide range of learning resources and appropriate pedagogic practice. You will be a team player, and also able to reflect critically on your own teaching practice and implement improvements. You will be ready to actively use the VLE and other e-learning tools to enhance teaching and learning on all courses/programmes. From your experience and understanding of students on these types of preparation courses, you will be able to relate to students with diverse backgrounds, ages and experience.

Salary
£32,320 – £39,332 per annum pro rata (depending on qualifications and experience)
