Goldsmiths, University of London’s English Language Centre is seeking to recruit
EAP tutors to teach on our 12, 9 and 5-week interdisciplinary pre-sessional programme (Arts and Social Sciences).
It would be advantageous for teachers to have an interest in contemporary social theory, and be able to teach the academic skills of researched essay writing, critical reading and seminar presentation, based on a range of academic texts and lectures. Materials will be provided, as will support from full-time members of staff.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
• DELTA or equivalent;
• MA Applied Linguistics or related discipline;
• CELTA Teachers with substantial TEFL/EAP experience may have the opportunity to gain TEFL-Q status.
• Substantial EAP experience, including in UK higher Education;
• Ability to manage the workload of intensive EAP courses;
• Being flexible and able to work as part of a team.
Salary: Grade 7, SP33 (£40,374 pro rata), this is inclusive of London Allowance and paid holiday time will be added in lieu of annual leave. There is also a paid induction which staff are expected to attend. There will be compulsory CPD workshops.
