Goldsmiths, University of London’s English Language Centre is seeking to recruit EAP tutors to teach on our 12, 9 and 5 week interdisciplinary Pre-sessional Programmes (Arts and Social Sciences). This is a full-time, fixed term position and you will be expected to teach up to 21 hours per week. We are unable to provide accommodation.
Teachers should have an interest in contemporary social theory, and be able to teach the academic skills of researched essay writing, critical reading and seminar presentation, based on a range of academic texts and lectures. Materials will be provided, as will support from full-time members of staff.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
• DELTA or equivalent;
• MA Applied Linguistics or related discipline;
• Substantial EAP experience, including in UK higher Education;
• Ability to manage the workload of intensive EAP courses
Salary: Grade 7, SP33 (£39,504 pro rata), this is inclusive of London Allowance andpaid holiday time will be added in lieu of annual leave. There is also a paid induction which staff are expected to attend.Please indicate in your application which pre-sessional programme(s) you would like to be considered for. 12 June – 06 September 2019 (12-week programme)
01 July – 06 September 2019 (9-week programme)
29 July– 31 August 2019 (5-week programme)
