Job Details

Bangor University International College (BUIC) is an embedded International College operated by Oxford International in partnership with Bangor University. BUIC provides integrated programmes at a college situated within the university campus. These programmes prepare international students for the next stage of their bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Bangor University and contain modules to develop their English language and study skills as well as academic modules. BUIC has been operating since 2016 and is looking to recruit a tutor as part of the expansion of the EAP and Study Skills modules.

Bangor University International College is recruiting for an EAP and Study Skills Tutor. Tutors deliver lessons that prepare students fully for their participation in their university programme. The lessons adopt an interactive, student-centred approach that makes full use of the latest technology to provide students with a varied, lively and purposeful experience.

The post requires the incumbent to deliver EAP and Study Skills modules, in part and fully, that could be across a range of the college’s programmes – Pre-sessional English, International Year Zero (Level 3), the International Year One (Level 4) or the International Incorporated Master’s (Level 6).

The EAP and Study Skills Tutor must be available for the full duration of each term and is expected to teach up to 20 hours a week. The Tutor is expected to be on the BUIC site (Oswalds building) for their core working hours.
