Job Details

We are recruiting for a Director EES to define and implement the EES Pakistan strategy to pursue and deliver mainly large-scale, schools sector projects and programmes. In the role, you will be responsible for the quality assurance of programme design and implementation, directly leading a team of six people and working closely with the wider Schools and Education teams across Pakistan to ensure a joined-up approach.

What is the English for Education Systems (EES) Programme?

The EES mission is to widen the knowledge and use of the English language around the world, empowering people to access global opportunities and connections. In EES, we support governments and non-governmental actors seeking to improve the quality of English teaching, learning and assessment in their countries and contexts. We work across the education sector – in the primary, secondary, tertiary and informal sectors.

Your key responsibilities in the role will include:

Leadership and management of EES vision and strategy
Relationship and stakeholder management
Lead on EES thought leadership and profiling strategy and plans
Lead on continuous quality improvement for the Pakistan Education/EES portfolio

To apply and be successful in the role, you will need experience of:

Managing teacher education for the pre-school, primary, secondary or tertiary levels
Managing teacher education projects for teachers, including online
Establishing QA systems and incorporating lessons learnt from M&E into Education/ EES programmes

You will also need a:

Recognised TEFL qualification
Postgraduate degree in relevant subject or over 5 years as practitioner in relevant sector or technical expertise
