The University Centre for Academic English seeks to appoint a Deputy Director. This is a new senior management post, and the successful candidate will contribute to our strategy and vision, taking the lead on the strategic and developmental management of the UCAE’s teaching portfolio helping to ensure our major courses are relevant for future cohorts, and remain relevant in terms of content, attainment and technological advancement. The post holder will also hold operational responsibility for the effective day to day management of the teaching and learning of the UCAE.

We are looking for candidates who have significant experience in the broad area of University Language Centre management, have worked on pre-sessionals, in-sessionals and foundation programmes; and understands the challenges and opportunities of these courses from all angles. We also require excellent communication and interpersonal skills as there is extensive interaction with students, academic and professional services colleagues, agents, scholarship teams. We also seek someone with excellent leadership qualities with a proactive and innovate approach.

£54,949-£65,578 per annum depending on experience
