CU Group have recently begun delivering International Pathway programmes on behalf of Coventry University and are seeking experienced Course Leaders to oversee the day-to-day delivery of these programmes.

Overview of role
The International Pathway programmes prepare international students for university entry, and include the International Foundation Year, International Year One, and International Masters Qualifying programmes. Successful completion of these programmes allows students to join their destination degree programme at undergraduate or postgraduate level in Coventry, London or in another of the group’s locations. These programmes will run alongside our already established BALEAP accredited Pre-sessional English programme.
The International Pathway programmes may be delivered face-to-face on CU Group campuses, in other locations, online or in a blended mode.
The Course Leader roles are being created to ensure excellent delivery of the new International Pathway (IP) programmes. You will lead a team of teachers to ensure appropriate implementation and delivery of the relevant IP programme syllabus to the highest standards. You will lead tutor and student inductions, undertake tutor observations (with guidance as appropriate), lead standardisation and moderation of assessment marking, and weekly staff meetings. You will monitor student progress throughout the programme, oversee the assessment process and support accurate reporting of student progress by tutors at the end of the course. These are seven month (January to July 2022 inclusive) fixed term full-time posts with the potential for renewal at the end of the term. We are seeking Course Leaders for both the Coventry and London delivery sites.

Qualifications
A first degree, plus a postgraduate qualification in an appropriate subject area is essential (see Job Specifications for further details). Candidates will have experience of teaching on English for Academic Purposes (EAP) programmes such as an International Pathway programme, pre-sessional and/or in-sessional course in a UK university context. They should also have experience of leading EAP programmes, or be able to demonstrate similar, related work experience.

Job Salary & Benefits

Remuneration:
£36,368 to £39,751 per annum depending on qualifications and experience.
