2-year Fixed Term; Full-time
An opportunity has arisen for the role of Associate Director within CU Group as a two-year fixed term, full-time position. CU Group is part of the wider Coventry University group and delivers academic and vocational degree programmes nationally and internationally on behalf of the University. It is a stimulating, diverse and enthusiastic organisation committed to delivering the very best experience for students and staff alike.
Coventry is one of the most culturally diverse university groups in the UK, with academic partnerships across all continents. Coventry University has a Gold Rating for Teaching Excellence (TEF) and has been shortlisted for University of the Year (The Times & Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021).
Overview of role
The Associate Directors collectively assist the Director in ensuring successful delivery of all operational aspects of English for Academic Purposes courses and other language provision delivered by CU Group, including assisting in strategic planning, designing and managing new projects and courses, evaluation and assessment activities, and incorporating innovations to meet evolving demands and opportunities which may arise.
Each Associate Director should expect to work across all areas of the provision and so flexibility is required. These include development, delivery and evaluation of pre-sessional EAP courses, in-sessional support, International Foundation programmes, language course delivery, online delivery, and provision overseas. As part of our drive for quality assurance, our Pre-sessional English courses have been fully accredited by BALEAP. Please see the Job Description and Specifications for further details.
This is a two-year fixed term full-time post with the potential for renewal at the end of the term. We are aiming for the appointed person to be in post to start in September 2021 or at the earliest possible opportunity.
