Overall Purpose of the Job:
To teach across the range of ULC Academic English programmes, to contribute to the design and development of these programmes and to fulfil teaching administration when required.

Main Duties and responsibilities
The person appointed will be required to:
• teach up to 590 hours per year across the range of ULC programmes including summer pre-sessional programmes and distance / blended / online learning
• contribute to the creation of materials across the range of ULC Academic English programmes
• be comfortable and effective using the University’s Virtual Learning Environment
• maintain administrative records to a level / timeline indicated
• solve day-to-day problems related to teaching
• attend meetings as guided
• work closely with colleagues where there are overlapping expectations, to ensure that overall ULC goals are achieved
• participate in programme evaluation and quality assurance processes, and contribute to ensuring the resulting actions are applied
• be actively part of a culture where continuous professional development and achievement are seen as the norm
• have competent (and/or willingness to learn) IT skills commensurate with such a position in a University

Job Salary & Benefits

Grade 5: £27,025 – £31,302 p.a
