In 1999, as a response to the call of Chinese and Australian Leaders of Educational and Cultural Communication field, Australia Education Management Group (AEMG) was established in Melbourne, Australia. Today AEMG has offices across Australia, Asia, USA and other countries. The aim of AEMG is to promote transmission and exchange of Australian culture and education system in other countries, meanwhile bringing in the cultural experience of other countries to enrich the Australian native culture.
English Language Program (ELP) at AEMG is currently seeking to appoint experienced and suitably qualified teachers to provide high quality, professional, student-centered teaching and learning to a wide range of students across AEMG and Universities’ partnership programs located in Melbourne or China. By using best-practice teaching methodology, innovative technology and online resources, you will prepare and deliver quality lessons to meet the needs of undergraduate students in their first two years of study and post graduate students enrolled in General English Program (GEP), English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and Academic Research Skills (DEP), as well as lead a group of teachers, provide support to maintain a professional level of accountability and successful pathways for students.
Selection criteria
· Graduates – Bachelor of Education / Primary / Secondary/TESOL
· Postgraduate qualifications – Master Degree preferred in TESOL or Master of Education Linguistics or Arts with TESOL certificate/diploma or a degree including TESOL/LOTE methods;
· Two years’ teaching experience;
· Previous teaching experience in an Australian ELICOS centre or teaching ESL/EFL at a secondary school is preferable;
· Ability to understand and help students to learn complex and subtle concepts of language and language learning; be well familiar with contemporary pedagogical trends; able to demonstrate and use student-centered approaches and methods in the classroom; ability to complete administrative tasks accurately and on time and be familiar with online technology, PCs, power point, teaching resources for educational purposes;
· Have an interest in Chinese culture, languages, people and learning; adaptability and openness to new approaches and ideas; desire to develop professionally; ability to contribute positively to a culture of continuous learning;

** AEMG provides RMB 3500 towards air travel when finishing one semester, and a further RMB 3500 towards air travel when finishing one year contract if you teach in China;
