Pre-sessional Tutors in English for Academic Purposes
The Centre for English and World Languages (CEWL) at the University of Kent is seeking to recruit two tutors for its 6 Week Pre-sessional course in English for Academic Purposes (EAP). The course dates are as follows:
Teacher induction: Thurs 13th and Friday 14th July 2017
Course starts: 17th July 2017
Contract ends: Tue 29th Aug 2017
The Pre-sessional EAP tutor role is to provide the key teaching, training, assessment and student support required for the delivery of the University’s Pre-sessional courses, which run from April to September, with four staged course intakes in April, June, July and August respectively. Students taking the course are preparing for both postgraduate and undergraduate entry in a wide range of different subject areas.
Assistant Lecturer (Grade 6 Spine Point 24)
£36.75 per hour Teaching Activity (TA)
£17.12 per hour Additional Activity (AA)
Claimable hours will be set according to a defined timetable which is based on 22-25 hours of teaching (TA) per teaching week. Teacher induction, student induction and meetings will be paid at an AA rate. An outline of the claimable hours (TA and AA) will be given to you in the teacher induction.
