Teaching on an established vocational module for Final Year BA English undergraduates who have an interest in teaching English. The module has been running successfully since 2018/19.
This is a module based on current educational theory but is interactive and with a practical focus drawing on participants’ previous experience of learning. It is an elective module for those students who may be interested in teaching in a variety of settings (eg Pre-Primary, Primary, Secondary, Further Education, Adult Education, HE and private tutoring). Some students will have already been accepted onto PGCE courses.
The Module Leader will ideally have a very broad and varied teaching background with a knowledge of the principles of effective teaching and learning of literacy and oracy in a variety of settings.
Hourly paid according to university pay scales.
