CU Group delivers International Pathway programmes on behalf of Coventry University, and is seeking to recruit an experienced Course Leader to oversee the day-to-day delivery of these programmes at our London campus at North Greenwich.

Overview of role
The International Pathway programmes (IPP) prepare international students for university entry, and include the International Foundation Year, International Year One, and International Masters Qualifying programmes. Successful completion of these programmes allows students to join their destination degree programme at undergraduate or postgraduate level in Coventry, London or in another of the group’s locations. These programmes are delivered alongside our already established BALEAP accredited Pre-sessional English programme.
The International Pathway programmes may be delivered face-to-face on CU Group campuses, in other locations, online or in a blended mode.
The IPP Course Leader will ensure excellent delivery of the International Pathway programmes. You will lead a team of teachers to ensure appropriate implementation and delivery of the relevant programme syllabus to the highest standards. You will lead tutor and student inductions, undertake tutor observations (with guidance as appropriate), lead standardisation and moderation of assessment marking, and weekly staff meetings. You will monitor student progress throughout the programme and support accurate reporting of student progress by tutors at the end of the course. This is a one-year fixed term full-time post with the potential for renewal at the end of the term. We are aiming for the appointed person to start in September 2023.

Qualifications
A first degree, plus a postgraduate qualification in an appropriate subject area is essential (see Job Specifications for further details). Candidates will have experience of teaching on English for Academic Purposes programmes such as an International Pathway programme, pre-sessional and/or in-sessional course in a UK university context. They should also have experience of leading EAP programmes, or be able to demonstrate similar, related work experience.
£38,459 – £41,944 per annum
