We are seeking qualified and experienced EAP tutors with a first degree, DELTA (or equivalent) and/or CELTA (or equivalent) plus relevant MA for our BALEAP accredited summer Pre-sessional Academic English and Study Skills programme.
Qualifications:
TEFLQ status as recognised by the British Council, e.g. CELTA or equivalent (essential) and
DELTA or equivalent and / or relevant MA (essential)
Course dates:
• Pre-sessional Modules 2-3: Induction from July 9 – 11 2019, with teaching from July 15 – September 6 2019
Please note that all tutors must be available for the full period of the course.
Job Salary:
Grade 6 Point 5:
£31,302 pro rata (plus a payment after the end of the teaching period in lieu of annual leave of £883.32 for June 12 – September 6 contracts, or £737.53 for June 26 – September 6 contracts, or £608.89 for July 9 – September 6 contracts, or £308.73 for August 7 – September 6 contracts).

Grade 6 Point 8:
£34,189 pro rata (plus a payment after the end of the teaching period in lieu of annual leave of £964.76 for June 12 – September 6 contracts, or £805.55 for June 26 – September 6 contracts or £665.05 for July 9 – September 6 contracts or £337.21 for August 7 – September 6 contracts).
Salaries offered would depend on qualifications and experience. All payments will be subject to tax and NI. Due to the complex nature of the Pre-sessional course we request that applicants do not have any pre-existing leave requirements as this cannot be facilitated.
Limited ensuite, self-catering accommodation at centrally located University of Strathclyde residences is available for Pre-sessional tutors at discounted rates of £65 per week.
