In this role you will be located in China to teach general and academic English to international students in either Beijing or Shanghai. You will work as part of the English Language Centre team to ensure that English Language support meets the requirements of the international students enrolled on the 16 week pre-sessional programme. You will assist with English language skills testing and provide an initial point of contact for pastoral care issues, with the ability to refer to relevant support mechanisms available to students.

The successful candidate must have an RSA Diploma TESOL or DELTA (or equivalent). The ability to teach English Language provision (EFL and EAP) is essential and you must have an understanding of professional/regulatory bodies such as the British Council. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written, by being able to explain information to suit different learning styles and levels of understanding.

Visa and accommodation costs in China will be supported by Teesside University.
