The Royal College of Art postgraduate institution of Art and Design – ranked no.1 Art and Design university in the world* – is looking for suitably experienced and qualified EAP tutors for summer 2019. We run a relatively small, collegiate Pre-Sessional course specifically designed to develop students’ skills in criticality, extensive reading and autonomous learning. This is a full-time position where you will be required to teach 14-16 hours per week plus provide 1:1 tutorials and accompany students on weekly trips one afternoon each week. A mentoring scheme is in place for senior tutors to support tutors new to the RCA.
We are looking for tutors with a keen interest in Art and Design subjects and experience of teaching postgraduate students from around the world. Tutors will be required to teach research and writing skills as well as to exploit materials for language instruction and vocabulary. All materials are provided and active use of google classroom is required.
We may be accommodated on any of our 3 campuses: Kensington, White City or Battersea. Accommodation is not provided, but we can place adverts via our intranet on behalf of successful candidates.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
• DELTA or equivalent
• MA Applied Linguistics or related discipline
• Substantial EAP experience
• Ability to work in a collegiate team
• A demonstrable interest in the Arts

8 Week Course: 15th July – 6th September (excluding bank holiday)
Plus 3 days paid induction: 10th – 12th July
42 days @ £190 = £7,980
4 week course: 12th August – 6th September (excluding bank holiday)
Plus 2 days paid induction: 8th – 9th August
21 days @ £190 = £3,990
