Journals

Our strong relationship with JEAP began with its launch in 2002 and ever since, it has been the official BALEAP journal with members receiving copies for free as a benefit of all our various membership types.

BALEAP is also affiliated with iJEAP, the International Journal of EAP which was established in 2021.  This is an open access resource.

In 2025 we launched a further journal, the BALEAP Journal of Research and Practice.  This provides another platform for the outputs relating to EAP and reflects the growth of scholarship and research in this area.  It will also host the Conference Proceedings which were previously sponsored and published by Garnet Publishing.

"The BALEAP Journal of Research and Practice" was launched at the 2025 Biennial Conference.
The journal's ethos is to become the home to work related to research and practice within EAP. The journal aims to encourage the community to submit work of any genre which challenges and drives the field forward. We will also be home to future BALEAP conference proceedings.

The journal is open access and Creative Commons licenced, trying to ensure that the work is as accessible as possible to ensure wider impact on and (trans)formation of the field.
