We are seeking EAP specialists, and teachers interested in teaching on our contract group courses, for periods up to a maximum of 7 weeks within the period of 10th July to 30th August 2019. These are full time teaching posts with 20 timetabled teaching hours, involving lesson preparation, written and oral feedback to students, final assessments and reports.
The role is grade UE07 and attracts an annual salary of £33,199 to £39,609 for 35 hours, each week. It is anticipated that all new summer teaching staff will be placed on the first step in the salary band.
Annual leave entitlement is 40 days per year, pro rata for part-year staff. For these short duration posts, it is unlikely that annual leave will be taken as time off, other than in extremis, and staff will therefore be paid, at the end of their contract, in lieu of untaken holiday.
Eligible candidates will be offered free accommodation in a basic, shared 4 bedroom university flat, subject to availability. An allowance for alternative accommodation will also be available. Further information regarding accommodation is available if selected for interview.
