Context
INTO establishes long-term joint ventures with some of the UK’s leading universities in a unique initiative that improves their competitive position in international markets. INTO Centres deliver pathway courses for international students that lead to undergraduate and postgraduate study. INTO invests in state-of-the-art teaching and accommodation facilities and has established a global network that recruits students from many cultures.
INTO Queen’s is a partnership with Queen’s University Belfast established in 2009.
We are currently recruiting a number of English Teachers to teach on our summer 2017 Pre-Sessional English programmes for a Fixed Term period over summer 2017. The dates of each programme are as follows:
• Pre-Sessional 10 week Programme: 26th June – 1st September 2017
• Pre-Sessional 6 week Programme: 24th July – 1st September 2017
• Pre-Sessional 4 week Programme: 7th August – 1st September 2017.

In addition, we will have In-Sessional English courses running from October to December 2017.

Please note that Teachers must be available for the full duration of the programme.

Candidates should possess:

Essential Criteria:
• Eligibility to work in and travel freely to and from the UK, i.e. valid UK or EC passport, and
• Hold an undergraduate degree or higher, and
• Must hold a recognised EFL teaching qualification at Diploma level. E.g. Cambridge ESOL DELTA and Trinity College London Diploma in TESOL, PGCE in TEFL. This must contain at least 100 hours of ELT/TESOL input and include at least five hours’ supervised teaching practice, and
• Have general teaching experience commensurate with the duties and responsibilities of the post.

Desirable Criteria:
• M.A. TESOL
• Relevant and substantial teaching experience in the specified subject area.

Interviews will be held as soon as possible after the closing date. We can conduct Skype interviews for those candidates not currently in Northern Ireland. INTO is working with our partner university to try to arrange accommodation for the duration of the fixed term contract.

Job Salary & Benefits

Appointment will be at £26,498 per annum paid pro rata for a fixed term period.
