Pre-sessional English for Academic Purposes Tutors are required for Loughborough University Pre-sessional Courses:

Pre-sessional Course D
Monday 05 August – Friday 20 September 2019
Teacher induction – Monday 05 – Thursday 08 August. Teaching commences Friday 09 August.

Preparation for Academic Study (PAS)
Monday 09 – Friday 20 September 2019
Teacher induction – Monday 09 September, teaching commences Tuesday 10 September.

Tutors must be available for the full duration of the course.

You should be a graduate with a CELTA or equivalent, ideally hold a DELTA or equivalent and / or relevant MA/MSc, have significant experience teaching English language to adult learners and have an understanding of EAP. Experience of teaching EAP year round or on a pre-sessional programme would be an advantage. You must be fluent in English both written and oral, and must be able to provide effective written and oral feedback to students.

Job Salary & Benefits

The position is Full Time and Fixed Term. Salary will be on Management and Specialist, Grade 6, GBP 34,189 to GBP 39,609 pro rata per annum, at a starting salary to be confirmed on offer of appointment.

•Single occupancy, self-catering, en-suite accommodation (with shared kitchens) is available for tutors who have to relocate for the duration of their contract*. Accommodation is located on campus in Butler Court (each ‘flat’ exclusively for pre-sessional tutors) at the following subsidised rates:
◦PS Course D from Sunday 04 August – Saturday 21 September 2019 – GBP 416
◦Preparation for Academic Study (PAS) – Sunday 08 – Saturday 21 September 2019 – GBP 113
