The Academic Centre for International Students, part of the Faculty of Humanities, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced tutors for our summer Pre-sessional programmes in English for Academic Purposes. Our 2017 Pre-sessional programmes saw nearly 1700 students join our vibrant University community, and we are looking to expand our existing team of language professionals for 2018. You should be a graduate with a CELTA or equivalent, and ideally hold a DELTA or postgraduate degree associated with English language teaching/ Applied Linguistics. You should have significant recent experience of student-centred EAP or EFL teaching, ideally in a UK higher education context. Successful candidates will be fluent in both written and spoken English, and committed to an excellent student experience.
•Staff induction from Tuesday 24 – Friday 27 July, teaching from Monday 30 July to Thursday 6 September.
You must be available to teach for the entire period of the course; annual leave accrued will be paid at the end of the contract.
•Reading and Writing Tutors (full-time only)
•Listening and Speaking Tutors (full-time or part-time at 0.5 full-time equivalent). Please note that the part time hours will be based on student timetables. If you are only available to work on certain days of the week please contact us prior to applying.
