Job Details

The Faculty of Humanities at the University of Southampton invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced Reading and Writing Tutors for our summer pre-sessional programmes in English for Academic Purposes, with contract dates (including induction programme for tutors) as below.
You should be a graduate with a CELTA or equivalent, ideally hold a DELTA or equivalent and / or relevant MA/MSc, and have experience in teaching EFL. Experience of teaching EAP on a pre-sessional programme would be an advantage, but candidates wishing to extend their experience in EAP will be considered. You must be fluent in both written and spoken English.

Course dates:
Course B: 26th July 2016 – 8th September 2016
Please note, on occasion, and dependent upon University/Programme needs, you may be required to work on another part of the University of Southampton Pre-sessional programme.
You must be available to teach for the whole period of the programme for which you are applying. Annual leave accrued during your period of employment will be paid accordingly, and added at the end of the programme.

Job Salary & Benefits

£32,600 to £34,576

Please note, the salary quoted above details the full range available for this role. Staff progress through this zone incrementally by one pay spine point annually subject to satisfactory performance, until they reach the top. Progression spines are beyond our control and we are unable to enter into negotiations concerning pay.
