Job Details

The Centre for Academic English (CfAE) provides a range of In-sessional and Pre-sessional English for Academic Purposes courses for STEM students.

Well-qualified and experienced EAP teachers are required for the Centre’s 6-week and 3-week Pre-sessional courses to teach students mainly going on to Masters courses at Imperial in the fields of science, engineering and medicine.

•Applicants should have a first degree, DELTA (or equivalent) and/or a postgraduate degree in Applied Linguistics/TESOL/EAP or other relevant area and preferably some experience of teaching EAP/ESAP in HE. We will also consider applicants with an MSc in a relevant STEM subject with a minimum CELTA teaching qualification (or equivalent) and some EAP experience.
•Applicants must be competent and confident in their use of ICT and experience of working with a VLE is essential.

6 week course: Monday 14th August – Friday 22nd September 2017 (including tutor induction Thursday 10th, Friday 11th August)

3 week course: Monday 4th September – Friday 22nd September 2017 (including tutor induction Friday 1st September)

N.B. Applicants must be available for the entire duration of the course, including induction. College accommodation may be available.

Job Salary & Benefits

Salary: £35,140 – £43,350 (pro rata including holiday pay)
