Job Details

We are seeking well-qualified, experienced EAP teachers for our online Summer Pre-sessional programmes. Pre-sessional is intensive and aims to induct and socialise students into the practices and expectations of academic study in English at University level. Our programmes have been BALEAP accredited since 2008, and we work closely with university residential colleges to offer online social and pastoral support.

Our curriculum and assessments are designed in-house and all asynchronous teaching material is provided in full. We also provide detailed guidance on teaching content for your synchronous sessions. We provide a week-long induction to the ethos and principles underpinning our programme, as well as practice with our platforms and modes of teaching and learning. This induction is followed up by weekly meetings plus ongoing peer and co-ordinator support.

We are recruiting for the following dates (which includes a week of induction):
6 Week Online Pre-sessional 12 July 2021 19 July 2021 27 August 2021

Key Responsibilities:

• Ability to work effectively with Microsoft Office, Durham’s VLE and other learning technologies as required
• Able to deliver effective synchronous EAP classes over Teams (or equivalent)
