Applications are invited from experienced and qualified ELT/EAP teachers to join the EAS unit at the University of Glasgow to teach on its BALEAP-accredited summer pre-sessional programme.

We are looking for people keen to be part of a team delivering high-quality EAP teaching within a well-established pre-sessional programme. You will be employed full-time on a fixed-term basis, normally teaching 16 to 20 contact hours per week within a supportive working environment at one of the world’s leading universities and in a vibrant and cosmopolitan city.
As well as teaching, you will attend team meetings, provide students with oral and written feedback and prepare final assessments and written reports.

The more senior role will involve mentoring other teachers and/or to take on lecturing or other responsibilities for the effective operation and running of classes. These additional responsibilities are reflected in the salary offered.

Interviews will take place between 11th – 21st March 2019

The course is divided into three blocks:

Block A: Tuesday 7 May to Friday 31 May 2019 with teacher induction on 3 May 2019.

Block B: Monday 17 June to Friday 19 July 2019 with teacher induction on the 13 and 14 June 2019.

Block C: Monday 22 July to Friday 23 August 2019 with teacher induction on the 18 and 19 July 2019.

Contracts are available for the whole 14 week period (Blocks A, B and C), or for the 10 week period from 17 June (Blocks B and C) or for the five week period from 22 July (Block C).

Successful applicants will be engaged from the date of induction and must be available to work from this date.

Job Salary & Benefits

Ref: 024104 (grade 6)
Salary: £28,660 – £32,236 per annum.

Ref: 024103 (grade 7)
Salary: £35,210 – £39,610 per annum.
