The Birmingham International Academy at the University of Birmingham is a British Council Accredited department providing English language and academic skills development to the University’s international students.
We are looking to recruit suitably qualified and experienced Teaching Fellows on Casual Appointment contracts for our summer 10, 6, 4-week campus and our 10 and 6-week online Presessional English courses.
10-week online: 2 June - 14 August 2026
6-week online: 30 June - 14 August 2026
10-week campus: 7 July - 18 September 2026
6-week campus: 4 August - 18 September 2026
4-week campus: 20 August - 18 September 2026
Post holders will be responsible for teaching English for Academic Purposes to postgraduate, undergraduate or Foundation Presessional students as Class Teachers or Language Support Teachers.
Salary and benefits
Subsidised campus accommodation is available from the 12th of July 2026 for those not within a commutable distance.
Full time starting salary: £36,636 - £46,049.
