In this role you will work as part of the English Language Centre team to teach general and academic English to international students and ensure that English language support meets the requirements of the international student intake. You will provide an initial point of contact for pastoral care issues, with the ability to refer to relevant support mechanisms available to students. You will also be required to assist with English Language skills testing.
The successful candidate must hold a RSA Diploma TESOL or DELTA (or equivalent) and have substantial relevant professional teaching experience (EAP, General English, supporting independent learning). You must have the ability to teach English Language provision (EFL and EAP), as well as an understanding of professional / Regulatory bodies such as the British Council. You will need to demonstrate effective presentation skills to articulate information to groups in a clear and structured manner and you must have an understanding and working knowledge of the University’s internationalisation agenda.
