The Royal College of Art is a Post-Graduate Art and Design college named the world’s leading university of art and design by QS World University Subject Rankings 2018. We are looking for tutors who have an interest in contemporary Art and Design and experience of teaching EAP at Post Graduate level. We can offer a stimulating course with integrated visits to galleries around London, invited talks with research students and highly motivated and interesting students.
We require tutors familiar with using a range of academic texts, stretching students’ verbal critical thinking skills and supporting writing tasks. Tutors should demonstrate a range of teaching techniques to engage and stretch students, encouraging independent learning skills.
Essential Qualifications and experience:
DELTA or equivalent
MA Applied Linguistics or related field
EAP experience
a flexible, creative and supportive approach to teaching
The rate of pay is £190 per day, 9.30-4.00 (Fridays 9.30-1.00).
Time is allocated on Monday afternoons and Wednesday mornings for marking.
Tuesday afternoons involve group visits to galleries around London.
The course dates are as follows:
16th July – 7th September – 8 week course
13th August – 7th September – 4 week course
Plus two paid induction days in the week before the course.
