We are seeking to appoint an experienced EAP practitioner/specialist to a new EAP Lecturer role. This is an exciting opportunity that spans both In-sessional and Pre-sessional activity, with a particular focus on provision for students in Business-related degrees.
Working as part of a close-knit team, you will have the following main areas of responsibility:
– To co-ordinate provision for the Academic English Programme (AEP), with a particular focus on PGT Henley Business School students
– To course direct on the Pre-sessional programme under the leadership of the Programme Director, ensuring that academic standards are upheld.
– To co-ordinate the Extended Writing and Research component of the year-round Pre-sessional Programme (PSE).
– To teach up to 10 hours per week of EAP classes on either the PSE or AEP programme from October to June, in proportion to other responsibilities of the role.
£39,324 to £48,327
You will have:
– Proven ability to lead, manage and develop English for academic purposes (EAP) teaching staff; experience of Pre-sessional course directing in UK HE an advantage.
– MA TEFL/Applied Linguistics (or equivalent) and Teaching Diploma DELTA, PGCE (or equivalent).
– The ability to design and deliver specialised English for business/management modules.
– Proven experience of teaching a range of nationalities and levels, and ideally of living and working overseas.
– Proven experience of materials development.
