Following the AGM there will be a presentation on ‘In-sessional EAP in Mathematics: the power of ongoing cross-disciplinary collaboration’ with Deak Kirkham and Costas Louzou.
At this free event, Deak Kirkham and Costas Louzou will discuss their in-sessional collaboration in Maths at the University of Leeds. In-sessional EAP can face challenges of peripheralisation, relevance and impact. In this presentation, we explore one avenue in which the affordances of EAP within a particular discipline have been given greater visibility as a result of an effective and long-standing cross-disciplinary (i.e. EAP ~ Mathematics) collaboration. While focusing on how the collaboration has enhanced the EAP delivery and impact, we will note that the positive impact of the collaboration has been bidirectional.
